Overview
Forge Female Fitness approached JTC Media to provide photography and video coverage of their annual awards evening in Ballymoney. The event brings together members of the gym to celebrate achievements, recognise progress, and acknowledge the commitment shown throughout the year.
The brief was straightforward but important: capture every award presentation, document the atmosphere of the evening, and create a social media video that reflected the energy, community, and personality of the event.
The Brief
Awards evenings move quickly. Moments happen once, reactions are genuine, and there is no opportunity for retakes. Forge Female Fitness wanted a complete visual record of the night, ensuring every award winner was professionally photographed while also capturing the interactions and candid moments that make events like these memorable.
Alongside photography, the gym required a highlight video for social media. The content needed to showcase the atmosphere of the evening, celebrate the members involved, and provide engaging content that could be shared across both Instagram and Facebook.
Our Approach
To ensure full coverage of the event, we focused on two key areas throughout the evening.
The first was documenting each award presentation. Every winner was photographed as they received their award, creating a collection of professional images that could be shared by both the gym and the recipients themselves. These images form an important record of the event and allow the achievements of each member to be recognised long after the evening has finished.
The second focus was capturing the atmosphere. Rather than relying solely on staged photographs, we documented the evening as it unfolded naturally. Conversations between members, reactions during presentations, laughter around tables, and the celebrations that followed each award all helped tell the story of the event. These candid moments often become the most valuable images, as they reflect the genuine culture and community that Forge Female Fitness has built.
Video coverage was captured alongside the photography, allowing key moments and reactions from throughout the evening to be incorporated into a social media highlight film. Particular attention was given to recording the energy of the room and the interactions between members, helping create a final video that felt authentic rather than overly produced.
Content Delivery
Following the event, approximately 70 professionally edited photographs were delivered to the client. The final gallery provided a balance of award presentation images and candid event coverage, giving Forge Female Fitness a versatile collection of content suitable for social media, marketing, website use, and future promotional material.
In addition, a social media highlight video was produced and delivered in multiple formats. Separate vertical and horizontal edits ensured the content was optimised for the platforms where it would be viewed, allowing Forge Female Fitness to maximise engagement across Instagram and Facebook without compromising quality or presentation.
The Outcome
The final content successfully captured what makes the Forge Female Fitness community unique. Beyond documenting the award winners, the imagery and video showcased the atmosphere of the evening, the relationships between members, and the enjoyment shared throughout the event.
By combining structured coverage of the awards with natural candid storytelling, the project delivered a complete visual record of the evening while providing Forge Female Fitness with a substantial library of content that can continue to support their marketing and social media activity long after the event itself.
